Call to Order: 3:20 PM Present: Barnacle, Craig, Hannibal, Kabala, Kostelnik, Martin, McCombie, Numan, Pankaj, Peterson, Scandrett, Sechrist, Staszkiewicz, Wheeler Excused: Flickinger, Sadler II. On a Scandrett/Martin motion, the April 19, 2005 minutes were approved as submitted. III. The members introduced themselves; there are several new persons on the UWUCC this year. On a Hannibal/Peterson motion, Numan was elected co-chair and Staszkiewicz was elected secretary V. Co-Chairs Report Sechrist provided some background information regarding how the UWUCC works, discussed briefly the function of screening committees, and reviewed the docket. Sechrist reported on some errors that were identified in the catalog text for departments. These errors have been corrected in the 2005-06 catalog. They will be sent to Senate next week. Sechrist distributed the new edition of the UWUCC handbook. Copies will soon being going out to departments. Sechrist reported on the status of the pre-law programs in Business and the intent to move from a track model to a minor model for all of the Pre-law programs. She will develop some draft templates for departments to use in this effort. Honors College Committee Report: No Report VII. Liberal Studies Committee report: No Report. VIII. 054d MGMT 405: Organizational Staffing, number change (was MGMT 305) and course revision/dual list with graduate version. A number of issues were raised.
