ROTC is considered a college elective for students that decide to participate–students are not joining the Army by enrolling. Students who do decide to apply to the Army will become commissioned officers in the Army upon successful completion of course requirements, but other students may take the courses as electives.
The Military and Veterans Resource Center helps veterans and military-affiliated students navigate IUP and VA educational benefits. The center also provides veteran students with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally. It increases campus awareness of student veteran issues and fosters a sense of camaraderie, community, and well-being for all veterans, military-affiliated students, and their families.
