The Eberly College of Business at IUP is pleased to announce a new 39-credit MBA in Supply Chain Management. This new program is designed to prepare junior and mid-level business executives with the scientific and technological tools needed to manage complex supply chains in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries in the Commonwealth of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and around the world.
Graduates will qualify for occupations such as supply chain managers, logisticians and logistics managers, operations research analysts, operations managers, purchasing managers, transportation, and distribution managers, and for the related field of industrial engineering. With this STEM-designated degree, students will gain the quantitative, analytical, and managerial knowledge, tools, and capabilities required to be successful in the fast-paced and global field of supply chain management.
Twenty-seven credits of core coursework will be required, which provide advanced knowledge in the functional and applied areas of business and the technological tools needed for supply chain management. The final 12 credits will be earned through the completion of four advanced STEM courses in supply chain management.
Graduates of this program will be able to:

Apply operations management and industrial engineering tools to design, evaluate, and deploy industrial supply chains.

Discern the importance of synergy among an organization’s suppliers, employees, managers, and customers; hence, manage quality in an integrated supply chain in an Industry 4.0 environment.

Lead projects dealing with statistical quality control in an organization.

Develop a systems perspective toward business process integration by gaining exposure to technology-based enterprise-wide information and operations systems.
- Synthesize the current research in key areas of supply chain management.
