IUP students and alumni can engage with employers at two off-campus career fairs happening this spring.

The WestPACS (Western ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Career Services Association) Collegiate Career Fair is one of the largest job and internship fairs held every spring and fall in Pittsburgh and the surrounding Western ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø region. When it’s in person, the job, internship, and graduate school fair is held in a central location, most recently at the newly renovated Monroeville Convention Center. Its goal is to provide a central location for current college students, alumni, employers, and graduate schools to connect. This spring the fair will be held online via Handshake on March 29th from 10am-2pm. Registration and employer information will be made available on  on March 1st. Registration for the online fair will remain open throughout the day of the fair; however, candidates are encouraged to register and build their profile on Handshake sooner rather than later, so they can start scheduling meetings with recruiters.

Also happening in March is the Pittsburgh Education Recruitment Consortium (PERC) Education Job Fair, which is a well-respected regional and international recruitment event. The job fair attracts more than 200 employers from 25 states across the U.S. and several international organizations. Participating employers’ interview and hire teacher candidates in all Pre-K-12 disciplines as well as related professional certification areas such as school administration, school counseling, school social work, speech language pathology, OT, PT, and nursing. This year PERC will be held at the Monroeville Convention Center on March 22nd from 9:30am-3pm. Registration and employer information is available on .

For both events, students and alumni are encouraged to dress in business or business casual attire as well as bring several resumes with them.
