The NSA is now accepting applications for multiple open internship positions to be offered in summer 2025. In addition, many other opportunities for students are available for pre-college and college students.

Pre-College Level Programs
Stokes Educational Scholarship Program
Eligibility:
- High school senior at application
- Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
- Minimum 1200 SAT (600 Math & 600 Reading/Writing) or ACT of 25
- Choosing to major in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or language (Chinese) at a four-year college
Program Details:
- Tuition and mandatory fees covered up to $30k per year
- Year-round salary while attending school
- Housing and travel entitlement during summer employment (if over 75 miles from NSA)
- All federal benefits
- 12-week tour during summer
- GG 02/01 starting salary, increase each year based on favorable review and maintaining 3.0 GPA
- Student is obligated to the agency after graduation (1.5 times the length of study)

High School Work Study Program
Eligibility
- High school junior at application
- 2.5 GPA
- Taking courses in business, computers, manufacturing, graphic arts, engineering, construction, or language
Program Details:
- Students attend school part-time their senior year of high school and work part-time at the agency
- 20 hours per week
- Tour is throughout the school year with the option to extend through the summer following graduation
- GG 01/01 salary
- Students must reside within commuting distance of duty station they are applying to
- Positions available to students are office assistant, computer aide, graphic designer, language analyst, etc.

College Level Programs
Summer Internships
Eligibility:
- Must be enrolled at a college or university at time of application
- Each internship accepts different years in school (undergraduate freshman–PhD)
Program Details:
- All internships are 12 weeks during the summer
- Students will receive subsidized student housing and travel entitlements (if over 75 miles from NSAW)
- Salary is based on graduation year
- Receive annual sick and annual leave
- Rising seniors are eligible to participate in our Cleared Candidate Career Fair to place them in full-time positions after graduation

Cooperative Education Program (Co-op)
Eligibility:
- Second-semester freshman or sophomore at application
- 3.0 GPA
- Currently majoring in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, cybersecurity (technical track), or Chinese
Program Details:
- 52 weeks of alternating semesters of school and work at the agency
- Eligible for full-time employment following successful completion
- Subsidized student housing and travel entitlements during work tours (if over 75 miles from NSAW)
- Tuition reimbursement for one technical course per semester (up to $2,500)
- All federal benefits
