The Beta Zeta (IUP) chapter of the Delta Alpha Pi International (DAPi) Honor Society, hosted by the Department for Disability Access and Advising (D2A2), inducted 19 new members in late April 2022. This included 13 undergraduate and six graduate students. The chapter also presented honor cords to 10 graduating undergraduates and three graduating graduate students. Of the graduating undergraduates, all are graduating with honors: one cum laude, four magna cum laude, and five summa cum laude.
DAPi, the first honor society of its kind in the nation, was established in 2004 at East Stroudsburg University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to recognize the academic accomplishments of college and university students with disabilities. DAPi presents an opportunity to change negative perceptions of disability by recognizing students with disabilities for their academic accomplishments. IUP's local chapter of DAPi (Beta Zeta chapter) was established in the spring semester of 2011.
