Dana Driscoll, director of the Jones White Writing Center and professor of English, offered an online workshop sponsored by the International Writing Center Association.
The workshop, titled "Self-Care Practices for Writing Center Professionals," focused on creating a space for writing center professionals to discuss self-care practices that are central to healthy functioning during the pandemic and beyond.
During the session, Dana drew upon insights gleaned from a study of 433 doctoral faculty and students co-authored with S. Rebecca Leigh and Nadia Francine Zamin and published in CCC as "Self Care as Professionalization: A Case for Ethical Doctoral Education in Composition Studies" (2020).
