The IUP Libraries have resumed several key operations as staff begin working varied schedules behind closed doors. Although library buildings won't open for general use until Monday, August 24, staff are receiving books and interlibrary loan returns through the book drop at the front of Stapleton Library.
Those living outside the local area may return books via UPS or US Mail to the IUP Libraries at 431 South Eleventh Street, Indiana, PA 15705. Questions about returned items may be directed to Joyce Piper (jpiper@iup.edu) and Meghan Evanko (mevanko@iup.edu).
Interlibrary loan operations have expanded to include both print and electronic items. Patrons may place requests to borrow items held by other libraries, though availability may be limited as other institutions re-establish their participation in lending systems. Questions about interlibrary loan may be directed to Beth Farabaugh (farabaug@iup.edu) and Bobbie Zapor (bzapor@iup.edu).
Music Library materials can be returned via the Stapleton book drop until Cogswell Hall reopens. Any questions can be directed to Laura Krulikowski at Laurak@iup.edu.
Additional details about the operations of the IUP Libraries during the fall 2020 semester will be announced on the library website before August 24. General questions about the IUP Libraries may be directed to Erik Nordberg, dean of Libraries, at erik.nordberg@iup.edu.
