The Division of Marketing and Communications seeks students to fill five or more work-from-home student worker positions.

Marketing and Communicationsknown as MarComis the office that markets IUP by telling our stories to the world, though television, print, and all types of digital media. If you have an interest in graphic design, marketing, multimedia, social media, videography, or web design, this is a great opportunity to get hands-on, real world experience.

In many cases, these student jobs can double as internships. Our interns and students have a great track record after graduation, using their experience with us to get into prestigious graduate schools, work for national brands, found their own agencies, and more.

The hourly rate for these jobs can vary based on your experience. Some positions may be fall only, others may have the opportunity to continue through the spring and into next year.

All of these positions require:

  • Excellent verbal and written and communications skills.
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Reliable internet access

We welcome students with federal work-study awards, but having an award isn't a requirement.

Digital Team Student Member

As a student member of the Digital Team, you'll gain experience in web analytics, content management systems, web accessibility, and search engine optimization..

Editorial Assistant

Works as a writer and editor on key university publications like IUP Magazine and IUP Now. Finds out what's happening on campus so we can tell all IUP about it. To apply to be an editorial assistant, contact Elaine Smith at ejacobs@iup.edu.

Graphic Designer

If you have an interest in art and design and would like to train alongside industry professionals to produce real-world (portfolio building!) work, this is the place for you. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite helpful, but not necessary..

Marketing Assistant

Works on marketing projects that involve all areas of MarCom. Includes marketing research (both by phone and internet), fact checking, possible work onIUP Magazine,IUP Now, competitive analyses, and more. To apply to be a marketing assistant, contact Chrissy Putt at cmputt@iup.edu.

Media Relations Student Worker

Writes, edits, and distributes various news releases to a wide array of media organizations. Researches story ideas and leads, maintains and updates our media contact list, reviews and updates media relations plans as necessary, and works as a collaborator in our two-person team. Social Media Coordinator

Help manage IUP's main social accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate is active on social media, stays aware of current and coming trends, loves a good story and photo, enjoys creating new ideas, and has pride for IUP.
