Brendan Boyle, an MA in music performance candidate in the Department of Music, has been accepted into the University of Cincinnati/College-Conservatory of Music beginning in fall 2020, where he will pursue the doctor of musical arts degree with a focus in wind conducting. Brendan has also been awarded a graduate assistantship, which will include a full tuition waiver.
While completing coursework, his duties will include working with multiple ensembles, coordinating ensemble rehearsals and concerts, and teaching undergraduate conducting classes.
Brendan will complete his MA in music performance with an emphasis in wind conducting this spring and has served as a graduate assistant with the IUP Bands, where he served as director of the Basketball Pep Band, assisted with the Marching Band, and coordinated rehearsals for indoor ensembles. His principal conducting teacher is Timothy Paul.
Brendan earned a BS degree in music education at IUP (2017) and taught music at the Internationella Engelska Skolan in Sdertlje, Sweden.
