IUP piano professor Henry Wong Doe performed a solo recital at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, California, on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
The Crocker Art Museum Series has been running for over 50 years, inviting artists to perform musical programs inspired by current or permanent exhibitions at the Museum. Wong Doe curated a program of works by Haydn, Bax, Farr, Body, Debussy, and Bach–Busoni, inspired by the exhibition Wayne Thiebaud: A Celebration. Thiebaud is a renowned Sacramento artist, and the subject matter of his paintings ranged from pies, cakes, and other desserts, to portraits and country landscapes.
