ϳԹ's Music Theater will present Gian Carlo Menotti's Pulitzer Prize-winning opera, "The Consul,” Dec. 3-6.
Directed by Sarah Mantel, “The Consul” will be presented at 7 p.m. in IUP's Performing Arts Center's Waller Hall.
This music drama centers on individual freedoms and the fight against oppression. The opera is set in an unnamed 1940s postwar European country that is torn by civil strife.
Tickets for “The Consul” are available in advance at the Hadley Union Building ticket office on the IUP campus. Tickets remaining can be purchased at the door 45 minutes before the start of the performance. Tickets are $15 for regular admission, $13 for seniors and groups, and $9 for students and children.
