Aramark will present a “Pink Flamingo Flock Party” fundraising event to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation on July 9, 2009, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The buffet luncheon will be held at the IUP Crimson Event Center, Pratt Drive and Maple Street.
The menu includes the following appetizers: fresh fruit kabobs; watermelon gazpacho soup; chilled strawberry soup; grilled pineapple, papaya, and plantains platter with sweet and sour sauce; grilled watermelon and shrimp kabobs with watermelon lemongrass glaze; shrimp cocktail; coconut shrimp with mango salsa; and mixed greens with citrus dressing or berry-poppy seed dressing.
Main courses being offered are macadamia-crusted chicken with spicy pineapple-papaya salsa, tropical grouper with chive sauce, and island mango barbecue tofu with chayote slaw.
Desserts to be served include pink chocolate covered strawberries, tropical fruit trifle, and pink tea cookies.
