Registration is available for the spring Basic Vehicle Rescue course, offered by IUP's Division of Emergency Services Training. The program begins March 30, 2010.
This fifty-two-hour basic training program prepares fire, rescue, and emergency medical personnel to conduct safe and efficient vehicle rescues. The class uses both classroom instruction and field practical sessions.
Classes will be held from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 30 through April 29 and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18. Fee is $110.
Students must provide a full set of protective clothing and equipment. Classes are limited to thirty students. Registration and a nonrefundable fee of $50 are due by March 23.
