The University Museum will host a public reception November 13, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to highlight the exhibition “Beyond City Limits: Associated Artists of Pittsburgh at IUP.â€

Admission to the reception is free. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibition, which celebrates the one hundredth anniversary of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, features the work of group members with a connection to IUP as faculty, alumni, and artists living and working in the region surrounding the university.

The forty-five exhibiting artists include Ronald Ali, Skip Allen, Marjorie Arnett, Jan Barone, Chuck Battaglini, Michael Begenyi, Charles Biddle, Daniel Bolick, Emily Bowser, Edward Burda, Kathleen Burk, Peter Calaboyias, Michael Campbell, Vaughn Clay, Karen Howell-Elder, Ron Donoughe, John Dorinsky, John Dropcho, Norma Ed, Julie Bernstein Engelmann, Kathy Gilbert, Donn Hedman, Adrienne Heinrich, Gloria Hersch, Maura Keeney, C. Richard Kenawell, Ronald Korczynski, Robert Scott Lloyd, Alisha McCurdy, Katherine McLean, Judith Musser, Ronald Nigro, Chuck Olson, Jane Ogren, Susan Pollins, Anna Marie Schnur, Kitty Spangler, Richard Stoner, Melissa Vertosick, Chris Weiland, Ned O. Wert, Kamal Youssef, and Hisham Youssef.

The exhibition will be open through December 4, 2010.

The University Museum is located on the first floor of Sutton Hall. There is no charge for admission. The museum is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays from noon to 4:00 p.m. The museum is closed Sundays, Mondays, and university holidays.
