For the eighteenth consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has selected IUP as one of the nation's top universities.
IUP is included in the magazine's “Best Colleges” 2012 edition and is one of the top national doctoral universities recognized in the rankings.
This recognition follows IUP's inclusion in other recent national listings:
- The Princeton Review's Best Colleges guidebook for the eleventh consecutive year
- Washington Monthly magazine's national rankings of schools based on their contributions to society for the third consecutive year. IUP was one of only eleven ϳԹ universities and the only public doctoral university in the state to be selected for the rankings, announced in September.
- Forbes magazine's “America's Top Colleges” for the second year in a row. IUP was one of only twenty-three ϳԹ colleges and universities chosen in August for this fourth annual listing. There are 6,600 accredited postsecondary institutions in the U.S.
In addition, IUP's Eberly College of Business and Information Technology was one of fifteen graduate schools of business in the nation named to the Princeton Review's second annual “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools.” The listing was featured in the April 2010 issue of Entrepreneur magazine.
