ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will hold commencement ceremonies May 10 at 9:00 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC) for more than 1,950 graduates.

The ceremonies will combine undergraduate and graduate students. All students participating in the ceremonies will be recognized by name and congratulated on stage. Keynote Speaker and Honorary Degree Recipient

Both ceremonies will feature as the keynote speaker Terry Dunlap, a 1981 IUP marketing graduate and executive vice president of ATI Flat Rolled Products Group. Dunlap, of Pittsburgh, is a Blairsville native. He will recognized at each ceremony for receiving an honorary doctor of public service degree.

Class of 1964

The ceremonies also will continue the tradition of honoring the 50-year reunion class, this year the Class of 1964, which will lead the procession into Ed Fry Arena during the morning ceremony.

Student Speakers

The student speaker for the morning will be Abbie Marie Bender, a biology and philosophy double major with a chemistry minor from Waynesboro. Kasi Hicks, a communications media major with a minor in journalism from Harrisburg, will speak in the afternoon.

Granting of Military Commissions

A total of 19 students will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Army at both the morning ceremony and the afternoon ceremony.

Parking

For the commencement ceremonies, parking on campus will be open to all visitors, except in the following areas: the Clark Hall parking lot, closed for construction; portions of the Miller Stadium parking lot, reserved for handicapped parking; and the Kovalchick Complex VIP parking area, in front of the building, and loading dock area. Police officers will be at each intersection from Grant Street south to the Kovalchick Complex to assist visitors.
