The paper is titled "Using the PICRAT and Four C Model to Teach With and For Creativity."

Abstract

By interviewing CEOs in 79 countries, PricewaterhouseCoopers (2016) reported that innovation was ranked as CEOs’ top business priority; however, 77 percent of CEOs struggled to find employees who possess the creative skills they need. In some disciplines, post-secondary education has begun to pay greater attention to this need by cultivating creativity in college students. In this presentation, we emphasize the importance of explicit instruction related to creativity development in teacher education programs. With the help of six vignettes, we illustrate how teacher educators can use Kaufman and Beghetto’s (2009) Four C model of creativity and Kimmons et al.’s (2020) PICRAT model to design learning experiences that enhance teaching with and for creativity.
