Rachel Marshall has been selected as the IUP Punxsutawney Person of Purpose for January-February 2020.
This award recognizes a student who has shown academic excellence and good work ethic, and who actively participates in the classroom. The recognition reinforces the critical value of passion, persistence, and purpose in achieving meaningful success.
Award recipients are chosen from faculty nominations.
Marshall was nominated by Sociology professor Jennifer Hedden and Geography professor Stacey Patrick as being among the most outstanding in their classrooms.
Rachel will receive a $250 award.
