The following message was sent to all students on Sunday, August 25, 2024:

Good luck tomorrow as you begin the start of a new academic year!

Success begins the moment you step into the classroom or log in to your courses. Class attendance and participation are critical to your college success. The US Department of Education regulations mandate that students who do not attend class can delay or lose their financial aid.

If you cannot attend a class for any valid reason, let your instructor know. If you do not attend class during the first week of the semester (without letting your instructor know), they will enter an “N” grade onto your record. This can have an impact on your financial aid.

Everyone at IUP is committed to helping you succeed. If you need assistance, do not hesitate to contact any of the following individuals:

  • Your navigator
  • Your course instructor
  • Your academic advisor

You can also utilize the academic services and resources at the University College. Please contact the University College at universitycollege-inquiry@iup.edu if you need assistance.

Good luck this semester!

Sincerely,

Amber Racchini
Vice Provost for Academic Success and Dean, University College
