IUP holds regional accreditation through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. In addition, individual programs either hold specialized accreditation or conduct a full program review every five years.
University Accreditation

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. In addition to regional accreditation, many of IUP's programs hold accreditation through a specialized or content area accrediting agency. Program Review
In accordance with the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø State System of Higher Education Board of Governors' Policy 1986-04-A, all programs at IUP not holding specialized accreditation are required to conduct a full program review every five years.
