Jack is a sophomore at the university. “I chose IUP and Eberly due to the success of the alumni and the resources that the college has to offer. The clubs and other opportunities to network amongst professionals set IUP apart from other schools.”

It almost seemed meant to be that Jack was to attend IUP. He further explained how he came about to find and attend school here in Indiana. “I am from Upper St. Clair, which is just south of the city of Pittsburgh. Many of my family members are from Indiana and both of my parents attended IUP.”

For only being in Eberly for a year, Jack has taken advantage of what the business college has to offer. “I have really enjoyed my first year at Eberly, most notably my time in the , , and . These clubs have given me the chance to learn more than I would ever imagine about my major and meet many amazing professionals”.

“Golf has taught me many valuable lessons especially those relating to patience and confidence. Eberly has taught me how valuable it is to network, build connections, and gain knowledge throughout my time at IUP.”

 Jack Steve hitting the booksJack has been playing golf since he was six years old and started playing competitively when he was 12. He has been golfing at IUP since he came year last year as a freshman, and will continue to play here until graduation. 

Although only a sophomore, Jack knows exactly what he would like to do post-graduation in 2020. After graduating, Jack explained he would like to use his degree and finance major to pursue a job in investment banking or private equity.

A favorite quote that Jack has and likes to model his actions by is from a classic movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off; “Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around every once in a while, you might miss it.”
