Decision Days
This fall, we will be hosting a Decision Day on:
- Saturday, December 7, 2024
Join us for an IUP Decision Day this fall and skip the drama of waiting for an acceptance letter. Tour campus, meet the people who will help you achieve your goals, and get an admissions decision the same day. What's not to love? Spots are limited, so register early.
To Get a Decision
No application fee. No test scores required. No commitment. No reason to wait!
To receive a decision on the day you visit, follow these steps:
- Apply. Apply online prior to your visit, or bring all the information you'll need to complete an application on decision day.
- Submit Required Items. You will need to provide the following items to receive a decision on the day of the event. They can be uploaded to your application before the event, or you can bring them with you that day.
- High school transcripts
- Transfer students only: All college transcripts. High school seniors taking college courses do not need to bring a college transcript to get a decision.
The admissions committee will review your application materials while you are touring campus. By the time you are ready to leave campus (after 11:00 am), you'll know your decision.
Please note: ACT/SAT scores are OPTIONAL through fall 2025. Freshman students only need to apply and submit high school transcripts to receive a decision and scholarship consideration.
Who Should Come
All visitors are welcome on a Decision Day, regardless of whether you plan to apply. This event includes all of the features of our regular Weekday Visit.
How and When to Register
Registration is required. Register by clicking the red button above. Complete the registration form using the student's information and email address. If there's more than one prospective student in your group, please register each individually, but include any adults and other guests in the registration of only one student.
We suggest you register as soon as possible because these events often reach capacity far in advance.
There are many benefits for students in all situations. If you are able to be admitted, you will be. Knowing you are admitted to college early in your senior year should set the stage for the successful completion of your high school diploma. If you are not admissible, you will have an opportunity to speak with IUP admissions counselors about your options. Knowing early will help you make choices about improving your classroom performance in order to become admissible. Either way, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about campus.
No. Whether you are admitted at a Decision Day during the summer or in March, you have until May 1 to decide if IUP is the school you would like to attend.
You actually don't have to reapply. We keep your application and encourage you to submit new academic information so that we may reevaluate your opportunities for admission. Attending the program will give you a chance to learn firsthand about improvements you should make during your senior year.
Yes.
Please note: Certain fine arts majors (Graphic Design, Music, Music Education, Music Performance, and Musical Theatre) will be notified at Decision Day regarding their admission to the university. After admission, they will be invited to audition/submit portfolios for departmental admission consideration.
