Erin Tiedeman, who received her MA in art in 2018, was selected by the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Art Education Association as the Non-Public Art Educator for 2020. The award was presented virtually on October 16, 2020, at the PAEA conference. Tiedeman has been teaching for seven years at Greensburg Catholic Junior-Senior High School in Greensburg, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Tiedeman was quoted that Art is "an imperative skill to learn, because the process of learning and creating through art teaches skills that can be translated into every other aspect of one's life. Learning and practicing art develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be translated into areas other than academia. The study of art gives students skills that can translate into their environment and society as well."
