The residency may be initiated by a teacher, an administrator, a community organization, a directory artist, or other party. The host site then submits a simple one-page request for a residency to ArtsPath. After a residency request is approved, the host site coordinator will meet with the artist and ArtsPath to develop activities and goals for the residency. Residency requests will be available each year by April, with funding approvals pending state budget appropriations to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Council on the Arts and receipt of the activities and goals for the residency. Requests should be made by June of each year, but will be accepted until funding is exhausted. Funding is approved on a first-come, first-served basis, with residency requests of 20 days or more receiving first consideration.
