At the Rhonda H. Luckey Center for Health and Well-Being, we specialize in college health. That means the services are not limited to traditional models of health care that have emphasized the treatment of an individual's illness. We also work to ensure a healthy campus community.
It's important and expected that IUP will provide support, services, and programs that affect not only individual students' health, but the broader campus community as well. That's why we address prevention and early intervention of concerns like sexual violence, alcohol and other drug use, stress, eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. While not every student may be affected, most will be indirectly impacted by the consequences of such problems.
The fees also support the work needed to meet state and federal regulations related to college health concerns that may be required of the university. This is important because doing so can impact state and national standing of the university programs.
Wellness Fee
This is a mandatory fee of $20 per credit taken by the student. It is charged in the fall and spring semesters. It is used to provide services and programs that promote the well-being of students. The Rhonda H. Luckey Center for Health and Well-Being includes:
