Office of Student Support and Community Standards Implements New Policy

Students who have been found in violation of university policy may be eligible to have their disciplinary records marked as nondisclosable to outside entities. In order to be eligible, at least one year must have passed from the date of the student’s most recent incident, the student must have completed all sanctions, their case history cannot include suspensions or expulsions, and there must be no history of violence in any of the student’s previous cases.

IUP’s chapter of the national Difficult Dialogues program will offer a virtual workshop session on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The workshop will prepare you to engage in conversations with people holding views different from your own.

Community Standards Board Training, August 26 via Zoom

Online training for faculty, staff, and students is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26 at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom. Once trained, members of the IUP community will have the ability to serve as board members in some of the most serious Community Standards cases. Students and faculty members will also be able to serve on Academic Integrity Boards.
