Orientation
Humanistic (meaning that I value the therapy relationship as having the capacity to help and heal) and broadly psychodynamic, meaning that I try to understand the underlying (often unconscious) kinds of things that motivate us, like our needs, emotions, relationships, and unresolved issues and learned patterns within our family of origin.
Interests
Identity formation, ego development and ego strength, relational issues, psychotherapy process, gender roles and expectations, transference, and countertransference phenomena.
