The IUP templates look best when you use images that are correctly sized to fit them. Please choose the correct width from the table below.
Resize your images before you upload them to the CMS. This gives you better control over the reduction process and ensures that your website visitors are not downloading unnecessarily large images. Don't artificially resize images that have already been uploaded—this will not change its file size.
Use | Width | Settings |
---|---|---|
Full-width | 750 pixels | N/A |
Half-width and below | 737 pixels | Left- or right-aligned Half-, third-, or quarter-width |
Photo Gallery Image, Horizontal | 750 pixels | Follow aspect ratio |
Carousel Image, full-width | 750 pixels | N/A |
Carousel Image, half-width and below | 737 pixels | N/A |
Event Image (Banner and Thumbnail) | 750 pixels | min. 415 pixels and max 500px height |
Note: Portrait-orientated images can take up a lot of visible space on a mobile device. Once they fill the column, they may take over the whole screen. Use with care, and preview the page before submitting any changes.

Please do not artificially resize images that have already been uploaded to the CMS. Here are some of the easiest ways to resize photos.
