A customized list of news can be added to interior pages by adding a News Listing component. This component creates a filtered list of news by category and can be limited to the area’s news (Department), or can include news from anywhere on the site (Global).
There are two options for how to use a News Listing component.
- In-Page
- Added as a component on an interior page; shows up to 10 news items; no link to other news.
- Dedicated Listing Page
- Added as a component but on a dedicated interior page, as the only or one of two components on the page (the other being a content block or other non-news components); displays up to 15 news items on the page initially; a "show more" button at the bottom can load more, up to a total of 200.

News Listing Component Options
The options shown in the component will vary depending on what selections are made, as Department and Global have slightly different options.
News Listing Types
- Department Folder: must be contained in the department/area’s CMS folder. Will only pull news items from that department’s news folder.
- Global: will use news items from across the entire website.
Department Folder Options
Options shown when News Listing Type=Department Folder
- Heading: Displays at the top of the news listing component.
- Component Type
- In Page: Allows 1-10 articles to be displayed; can be added to a page but there can only be one news listing per page.
- Dedicated Page Listing: Displays 15 items initially, and allows for up to 200 articles to be shown in total.
- Manually Add News Page(s)
- When Yes is checked, will provide the option to add specific news items to the listing that may not meet the criteria, are too old to display, or are from another area (if using Departmental)
- News Category
- Click to select one or more categories. If a category is incorrectly selected, it can be deleted. Note, it will delete from the last item, so you may need to re-add categories that are deleted in the process. Uses “or” logic, so it will display news that matches any of the selected categories.
- Number of Articles
- These options will vary slightly depending In-Page or Dedicated.
- Number of Articles (In-Page): Show 1-10 news items
- Total Number of Articles (Dedicated Page Listing): Total number of articles to be included up to 200; will show 15 initially, if 15 are available.
Global Options
Options shown when News Listing Type=Global
- Heading: Displays at the top of the news listing component.
- News Listing Type: Specific to Global. There are three options:
- Recent News - Dynamic: dynamically/automatically pulls in news based on the category selections
- Manually Select News Pages: Requires you to manually select news items. Will only display news items that are manually added via the Page Selector.
- Combination of Manual/Dynamic: will dynamically pull in news based on the category as well as any manually selected news items.
- Component Type
- In Page: Allows 1-10 articles to be displayed; can be added to a page but there can only be one news listing per page.
- Dedicated Page Listing: Displays 15 items initially, and allows for up to 200 articles to be shown in total.
- News Page Selector
- When "Manually Select News Pages" or "Combination of Manual/Dynamic "are selected for News Listing Type, this apears. It provides the option to add specific news items to the listing that may not meet the criteria, are too old to display.
- News Category
