Yaya Sissoko presenteda paper titled "Inside the Classroom: Learning from the 2008 Financial Crisis and the Subprime Meldown" (co-authored with Brian Sloboda) at theAllied Social Sciences Association for the Poster Session of theCommittee on Economic Education in San Diego, California, January 3-5, 2020.
The learning objectives of this paper are:

Learn the general factors that contributed to the 2008 financial crisis;

Identify the complexity of the financial products, namely the subprime mortgages, that contributed to the 2008 economic crisis intuitively without having to understand the complex mathematics;

Improve teamwork and oral communication skills;

Improved learning and application of real-life examples from economics.
