The Economics Club
The purpose of the Economics Club, as stated in its constitution, is to promote interest in and understanding of economics among students, to provide opportunities for students to participate in projects beneficial to themselves and to the school community, to increase their knowledge of economics, and to bring together students and faculty members in an informal social environment. All students of IUP are eligible for membership.
We have established excellent student-faculty relationships at IUP since our inception in 1967. Students may be nominated by the club to have voting rights at all Economics Department meetings and several department committees.
Omicron Delta Epsilon
Omicron Delta Epsilon is an international honor society in Economics established in 1915 to recognize the scholastic achievements of undergraduates in economics. The Alpha-Gamma Chapter was organized at IUP in 1975 and admits a small number of students each semester.
Membership is open to juniors and seniors who have completed 12 semester hours in economics with a grade point average of at least 3.0, both overall and in economics.
