The Haven Project was host to the SETpoint Empowerment Based, Self Defense Training Program. Thirty-nine IUP students participated in the program whose mission is to reduce sexual and physical assault, particularly among targeted and marginalized communities.

Take Back the Night is an annual event that raises awareness, empowers individuals, and inspires action that will bring an end to sexual violence. On Wednesday, April 14, at 5:00 p.m. you are invited to show your support for survivors of sexual assault with the Haven Project’s Virtual Speak Out. Survivors are given the chance to have their voices heard, even if we can't be together in person. Anonymous stories were submitted and will be be read by the Haven Project staff, peer educators, and volunteers.

Suvivor stories are needed from students, faculty, staff, and administration to make the “What Were You Wearing?” exhibit a success in 2021. Survivors are encouraged to submit their stories so that the display can brings awareness to the issue of victim blaming and helps to dismantle the myths about sexual violence occurring due to what a person was wearing when the assault occurred.
IUP Haven Project invites all students to learn about Green Dot. If we all do our small part, we can make a big difference. Green Dot is a violence prevention program at IUP. Green Dot changes the campus norms so that violence becomes unacceptable, and the campus is intolerant of violence. This changes the campus culture.Â
