The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø State System of Higher Education has six collective bargaining units covering about 85 percent of the employees at IUP. The Labor Relations area of the Office of Human Resources at IUP is responsible for managing all aspects of the these bargaining units, including the following:
- Interpret and administer all negotiated agreements
- Interpret university policies and applicable employment law
- Serve as hearing officers for grievance processes
- Create and cultivate positive labor/management relations
- Coach and counsel supervisors of represented and non-represented employees on grievances, discipline, performance improvement, etc.
