Required Clearances Related to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Child Protection Services Law are:

Act 34 -ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø State Police Criminal Records Check (SP4164)

Act 151 -ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance Check (CY113) to determine if the person is named as a perpetrator of an indicated or founded child abuse report, and

Act 114 -Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal History Record Information check

  • The process for obtaining these clearances must begin before the first day of work with IUP.
  • No one can start to work until HR has verified that all clearances are in progress.
  • Candidates may begin working provisionally for up to 45 days while awaiting results of background checks.
  • Results must be obtained and presented to the Office of Human Resources within 45 days of the date of hire.
  • Offers of employment are contingent on successful completion of all required background checks. Therefore, if checks are not completed, meaning results are not presented to the Office of Human Resources, within 45 days of your date of hire, work must cease.

The Reportable Offense form is to be used by current employees and volunteers to provide written notice within 72 hours after an arrest or conviction for a Reportable Offense or notice of being listed in the statewide database as a perpetrator of a founded or indicated report of child abuse.
