All articles published become the property of the Hispanic Journal.
It is the responsibility of the author to acquire any permissions necessary to print images or other copyrighted materials.
There is a 12-month embargo on recently published articles, and a $150.00 fee if the author breaks the embargo. During the embargo time, authors will not post their work on institutional or personal repositories or websites. Nor use their article in books or compilations.
After the 12-month embargo, authors retain the right to post their work on institutional or personal repositories or websites at no cost. Authors also retain the right to use their articles for classroom instruction.
Authors may use their articles and expand them to use in books or compilations in which they are the sole author. For these purposes, as well as for inclusion in repositories, permission needs to be acquired from the editor of the Hispanic Journal.
In all cases, authors must specify that the article was originally published by the Hispanic Journal and must provide the citation with the original publication information.
Non-authors who wish to use articles for inclusion in books, compilations, or in electronic repositories, must pay a $150.00 fee, payable to the Hispanic Journal.
