IUP Language, Literature, and Writing Department members participate in a wide range of cutting-edge research activities.

These professional research projects are used to expand knowledge in the field of English, especially in the areas of composition, TESOL, and literary criticism. These research projects are also aimed at improving the teaching and learning of English at IUP, across the United States, and internationally. In addition, these research projects provide valuable opportunities for students to learn how to conduct research as well as how to write and publish research study results.
