Joelle Dietrick: The Sherwin Series
February 09, 2012
Kipp Gallery, Sprowls Hall
Free Admission
Joelle Dietrick develops artworks that consider contemporary nomadic concepts and 21st-century power structures.
With a particular interest in female expatriates, she considers how these adventurous women negotiate their wanderlust with a desire for a home while in competition for careers beyond traditional boundaries. Kipp Gallery will be exhibiting her latest body of work, consisting of prints, paintings, and projected animations; it features shattered house forms in the ironically harmonious hues of Sherwin-Williams's 2007 Color Forecast.
