Dance Theater Fall Showcase
October 25-26 at 7:00 p.m. and October 27 at 2:00 p.m.; Zink Hall Dance Theater
The IUP Dance Theater will perform a variety of new works in this Showcase, which includes talent from the IUP Music Department.
Koresh Dance
November 7 at 8:00 p.m.; Fisher Auditorium, IUP Performing Arts Center
Known for its engaging performance and technically superb dancers, Koresh Dance Company's critically acclaimed work continues to attract increasingly large audiences. Over the years, Roni Koresh, the school's founder, has developed a vast repertoire of work that ranges from explosive and passionate, to intimate and restrained.
Rhythmic Circus
December 3 at 7:00 p.m.; Fisher Auditorium, IUP Performing Arts Center
Infusing their unpredictable blend of hard-hitting tap, high-spirited humor, and finger-snapping tunes, Rhythmic Circus satisfies their “rhythmic appetite” on everything from sand to folding chairs, and in one number even utilizes the technology of electric drum triggers to change the sound of their taps!
Ballet Hispanico
March 27 at 8:00 p.m.; Fisher Auditorium, IUP Performing Arts Center
Celebrating 42 years of dance and culture, Ballet Hispanico is recognized as the nation's leading Latino dance organization. Led by artistic director Eduardo Vilaro, the company boasts a rich and diverse repertory of over 100 works by the foremost choreographers and emerging artists of our time.
The Girl in White
April 4-5 at 7:00 p.m. and April 6 at 2:00 p.m.; Zink Hall Dance Theater
The Girl in White is a dance production loosely based on Mexican folklore. The production will be codirected by Holly Boda-Sutton and Kevin Eisensmith in collaboration with the composer Robert J. Bradshaw.
