Experiment and Color on White

Summer 2015 will bring two concurrent exhibitions to the University Museum: Experiment: Poland/USA Fiber Art Collaboration and Color on White: Collage by Barbara Westman.
Both Experiment and Color on White will run June 8 - July 16, 2015. An opening reception will be held June 6, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., with Barbara Westman's artist's talk beginning at 7:00 p.m., all in the University Museum, Sutton Hall.
Pencil Paint Pixel: 29 Years of Visual Communication

Illustrator and IUP alumnus Mark Bender (1983) creates award-winning art for a variety of corporations with this exhibit titled “Pencil Paint Pixel: 29 Years of Visual Communication.” Admission is free, and an opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Master of Arts Thesis Exhibit 2014

Gala: Hot Iron-A Victorian Industrial Fantasy

The annual University Museum Gala has a steam-punk theme this year. Gala guests are asked to indulge their fashion fantasies for this event!
Songs, Sonnets, and Stolen Lines

This exhibit will feature paintings and drawings by artist Teresa Getty, who uses her childhood memories for inspiration.
Irons: Functional Tools to Art Objects
September 13-November 8; University Museum, Sutton Hall
This exhibition tells the cultural, social, and technological story of ironing. It will feature works by sculpture students in IUP's Art Department and sculptor/print-maker Willie Cole.
The Mountain and the Bumble Bee

This traveling exhibition features work by artists and poets from across America using a wide variety of media to confront broadly defined notions of landscape as both cultural icon and raw material.
Muslim/American, American/Muslim

In recognition of the new and expanded Islamic Center in White Township, this exhibition will feature photographs by Robert Gerhardt of mosques and Muslim communities.
Season of Light

Come one, come all, to IUP's annual holiday exhibition. Ethnic displays, retro toys, and train sets are some of the highlights sure to impress visitors of all ages.

Name is the Surface

This solo exhibit will feature the works of Texas-born, Pittsburgh-based artist Corey Escoto, who inverts and explores the relationship of the three-dimensional world to the flat, two-dimensional surface of its representation.
