Six in an Open Field showcases the work of several Pittsburgh-based artists brought together through ongoing dialogue, critiques, studio visits, and more. Beginning in summer 2022, the group has met bimonthly to discuss the trials and tribulations of sustaining a studio practice. Set against a rotating backdrop of basement studios, living rooms, and public park pavilions, the artists in this show affectionately refer to their collective activities as Art Club.

This November, explore works of art from the Museum's permanent collection. This exhibit features artists who shared an important background of working and creating art for the Federal Arts Project, a division of the Depression-era Works Progress Administration, often referred to as the WPA.
The University Museum will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, November 21–25.

Energy and Color: Thirty Years of Illustration by John Ritter

John Ritter is an American Post Pop artist whose vibrant depictions of celebrities and popular culture have consistently defined the pages of the New Yorker, Time, GQ, and Harper's in addition to other national and international publications, Broadway advertising campaigns, corporate art installations, product packaging, gallery exhibitions, and private collections.
The University Museum Goes Downtown: Selected Prints from the Collection

The University Museum at IUP returns to the , 732 Philadelphia Street, with an exhibit featuring a wide range of artists and printmaking techniques, including woodcuts, etching, engraving, and more. The diversity of artist styles, from traditional to contemporary, will be represented from various cultures in an array of colors and designs.
Remake Learning Day at the Artists Hand

Location: The Artists Hand Gallery & Espresso Bar
Join the University Museum at IUP, in collaboration with Remake Learning Days, for a children's printmaking workshop at the Artists Hand Gallery & Espresso Bar, 732 Philadelphia Street, Indiana.
During this two-hour, free workshop, attendees will learn the basics of printmaking with a fun twist—prints will be made using fruits, vegetables, and other objects.

The University Museum is located on the first floor of Sutton Hall. Museum hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 2:00–6:30 p.m.; Thursday noon–7:30 p.m.; and Saturday noon–4:30 p.m.. The museum is closed Sunday, Monday, and university holidays. A public reception is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and both the reception and the exhibit are free.
