The Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement is pleased to announce that the Emerging Leader Series, a free, six-week series for students interested in leadership development, is now accepting applications.
The Emerging Leaders Series features six separate sessions, each held on Wednesdays at noon in the HUB. It will cover a range of topics, including personality styles, citizenship and diversity, and civic engagement.
The “Emerging Leaders Series covers the foundations of leadership, and it sets students up for personal development,” said Kevin Foster, program facilitator and Assistant Director for Student Leadership and New Student Programs in the Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement.
The program is open to all students, and registration is now open on Crimson Connect. It begins Wednesday, September 6, and will conclude Wednesday, October 11.
“It's important to note that the series is geared toward first-year students, but that doesn't mean that graduate students, or even staff and faculty don't benefit from it, as well,” said Foster.
In addition to Foster, the classes will feature speakers from the Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining, the Career and Professional Development Center, and the Office of Social Equity.
