ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's online master's in nutrition program is ranked sixth in the nation by OnlineU in its 2021 Best Online College rankings.

The rankings are based on median post-graduate salary data. Editors researched data from alumni from IUP's program and found that “IUP Food and Nutrition alumni had an impressive 10-year return on investment.”

Only accredited programs were considered for the rankings. IUP's program holds accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.

IUP's program, which focuses on human and applied nutrition, can be completed in 16 months, offers two tracks: administration and education, and a thesis and a non-thesis option. IUP's bachelor of science degree program is accredited by the Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC) of ABET. Students can also complete a minor in the program. IUP offers degrees in the major at the master's and doctoral levels.

“As a student-centered online program, our faculty focus on making the content meaningful so students can utilize the information and projects in real time,” Stephanie Taylor-Davis, chairperson of IUP's Department of Food and Nutrition, said. “This approach adds value to ensure our graduates are career ready, competitive in the job market, and effective to meet challenges in the workplace.”

IUP is consistently ranked as one of the nation's top doctoral universities by U.S. News & World Report. It has been included in the Princeton Review's “Best Colleges” guidebook for 18 years and has been included in Washington Monthly magazine's national rankings of schools based on their contributions to society. Individual programs and departments continue to gain accolades in national surveys, including the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program, recently ranked ninth in the nation by Study.com.

IUP also has been selected for additional national rankings that recognize value in online programs.

U.S. News & World Report recognized three IUP programs—the master's program in criminal justice, master's program in mathematics education, and master's program in nursing—for its “Best Online Programs” for 2021. EduRef.net, a nationally recognized provider of college planning resources, named IUP to its “10 Most Affordable Accredited Online Colleges” ranking for 2020.

IUP offers more than 140 undergraduate majors and more than 60 graduate programs, including 14 doctoral programs. In addition, students can complete more than 65 minors and scores of specialized tracks and certificate programs, including certificates in athletic coaching, gerontology, photography and digital imaging, popular music, and public history.
