IUP at Northpointe is less than 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh, immediately off Route 28 at Exit 18. It is located in the South Buffalo Township building.
From the South
- Take Route 28 North. (If exiting the turnpike, take the Allegheny Valley Exit.)
- Take Exit 18 (Slate Lick/Northpointe).
- At the end of the ramp, make a right.
- Immediately get in the left turn lane.
- Turn left into RIDC Armstrong Innovation Park.
- The IUP campus is in the first building on the left. There are spacious parking lots to the side and rear of the building, and parking is free.
From the North
- Take Route 66/28 South.
- Stay on Route 28 after the Route 66 exit into Ford City.
- Take the exit for Route 28 South. (Follow signs to Pittsburgh.)
- Take Exit 18 (Slate Lick/Northpointe), which is the first exit.
- At the end of the ramp, make a left.
- After crossing the bridge over Route 28, immediately get in the left turn lane.
- Turn left into RIDC Armstrong Innovation Park.
- The IUP campus is in the first building on the left. There are spacious parking lots to the side and rear of the building, and parking is free.
From the East
- Take Route 422 West.
- Just after Sheetz, get into the center lane.
- Take Route 422/28/66.
- Stay on Route 422/28 after the Route 66 exit into Ford City.
- Take the exit for Route 28 South. (Follow signs to Pittsburgh.)
- Take Exit 18 (Slate Lick/Northpointe), which is the first exit.
- At the end of the ramp, make a left.
- After crossing the bridge over Route 28, immediately get in the left turn lane.

From the West
- Take Route 422 East.
