Centers and Institutes Planning and Assessment
Thanks to the great effort of our C&I directors, with input from the provost, the vice president for Student Affairs, deans, and a-deans, together we have developed a new annual planning and assessment system that replaces both the old annual report form and the need for five-year reviews.
This system consists of two forms per year:
- C&I Strategic Planning document - Use this to map out the goals for your center in consultation with other members of your center, key stakeholders, and your dean (or the vice president of your division).
- For the 2013-2014 Annual Report: C&I Annual Report Template - Use this to report on your center's activities for 2013-2014. This is due August 29, 2014, and this will be the last time this template is used.
- For the 2014-2015 Annual Report: C&I NEW Annual Report Template - This is the annual report form you will start using in 2015 to report your progress on your 2014-2015 goals. This form will not be used until summer 2015.
2014-2015 Timeline for C&I Planning and Assessment
- Throughout the year, develop a strategic plan (i.e., goals) for your center with relevant stakeholders, and meet with your dean or vice president for input and approval.
- July 15, 2014: Draft C&I Strategic Planning document due to the C&I Advisory Board for review and feedback (please send to Jean Serio in the SGSR: jserio@iup.edu). Remember, you cannot submit your draft until your dean or vice president has reviewed and approved it.
- August 8, 2014: Receive written feedback via e-mail from the C&I Advisory Board (your dean or vice president will be copied on the message).
- August 29, 2014: 2013-2014 Annual Report is due by 4:30 p.m. to Jean Serio (jserio@iup.edu) in the SGSR.
- October 1, 2014: Final C&I Strategic Planning document due by 4:30 p.m. to Jean Serio (jserio@iup.edu) in the SGSR.
- May 15, 2015: 2014-2015 Annual Report due by 4:30 p.m. to Jean Serio (jserio@iup.edu) using new Annual Report Template. Be sure to plan ahead, as the new form has a section that your dean must complete and approve before you may submit your report to the SGSR. (Note: the section your dean completes will be sent to the SGSR, but it will not be included in the C&I Annual Reports published online.).
