The School of Graduate Studies and Research is pleased to collaborate with the IUP Chapter of Sigma Xi to provide a forum for Undergraduate and Graduate student researchers to display projects they have completed during their enrollment at IUP. Students may display work they accomplished with faculty guidance or with a group of students.

This event provides a forum for externally funded project directors and co-directors to share the results and accomplishments of their work with interested colleagues and fellow researchers. Faculty and staff are invited to display any project that received an external award since July 2000.

The School of Graduate Studies and Research is pleased to recognize the scholarship and research efforts of the faculty, staff and students at IUP. This tenth annual event acknowledges those who have sought external funding for their projects during the previous year. Awards are presented in the areas of Outstanding Achievement in Research, Outstanding Achievement in Curriculum and Instruction, and Outstanding Achievement in Public Service. The Graduate Dean's Award for Commitment to Sponsored Programs will be presented by Dr. Alicia Linzey, Interim Vice Provost for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies. Graduate student research is highlighted with the presentation of the Outstanding Graduate Student Research Awards.

This is an interactive, creative, hands-on workshop that aims to familiarize future grant writers with the process of attaining external funding for their projects. Several collaborative teams will explore the steps needed to identify a need, find solutions to the problem and create a competitive proposal.
