Acuity Finishing

Rick is a business professional with over 35 years of experience helping organizations, including start-up, not-for-profit, and turnaround situations, succeed. After a 13-year career of providing audit and consulting services to clients at Price Waterhouse, Rick became the founding CFO of Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. Universal Stainless was formed in August 1994 to purchase an idled specialty steel facility in Bridgeville, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, and successfully completed an IPO in December 1994 (Nasdaq: USAP). Rick accepted the challenge of creating accounting and manufacturing systems from "a blank sheet of paper." During Rick's 16-year tenure, USAP acquired two additional facilities and grew annual revenues to more than $200 million.

In May 2010, Rick formed Ubinger CFO Services, LLC to provide predetermined CFO services to small businesses. To date, Rick has worked with more than 40 companies involved in the manufacturing, distribution, software development, transportation, and professional service industries. The primary role of Rick's services is designed to help business owners improve their cash flow performance through the identification and monitoring of key performance indicators.

In June 2012, Rick also became co-owner and chief financial officer of Acuity Finishing (formerly Plastikoil of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø), a full-service bindery and print finisher located near Pittsburgh.

Rick is a 1981 graduate of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and is a member of the AICPA and PICPA. He also serves on the board of directors of the Foundation for IUP and is a past board member of Wesley Family Services.
