QuadJobs Now Available for Off-Campus Student Employment

The IUP Career and Professional Development Center is now partnering with QuadJobs, an online platform that promotes pre-professional local, temporary work opportunities for IUP students.

Career Expo and Graduate School Fair Scheduled for Sept. 30

Recruiters from more than 60 organizations and graduate school programs will be attending the IUP Career Expo and Graduate School Fair in a virtual format through Handshake on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Suit-Up Event Online September 18-20

Join the IUP Career and Professional Development Center for the semi-annual JCPenney Suit-Up Event, with an extra 30 percent discount for IUP students, faculty, and staff only on select men’s and women’s career dress apparel, shoes, and accessories. Suit-Up is being held online this year.

Goal in the Grove is Virtual for Fall 2020 Semester

The IUP Career and Professional Development Center will hold its annual Goal in the Grove on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Students can find out more about how the CPDC career consultants can guide you, learn about social media platforms, and receive tips on their career search.

Fleck Begins Position as CPDC Assistant Director

Kevin Fleck recently joined the IUP Career and Professional Development Center as the assistant director for employer engagement, where he assists employers with accessing IUP’s services, including hiring IUP students and alumni, filling internships, and recruiting.

Office of Service Learning Now Part of MCSLE

Thomas Segar, IUP vice president for Student Affairs, announced the transition of the Office of Service Learning to the Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement. “I am excited about this transition and the opportunity to enhance the IUP student experience through linking service learning, leadership, and engagement through a multicultural lens.â€

Recruiters from more than 75 organizations will be at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. during the IUP Spring Career Fair, sponsored by the Career and Professional Development Center.

Career and Professional Development Center Transitions to Academic Affairs

Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Timothy Moerland announced the transition of the Career and Professional Development Center into the Division of Academic Affairs. As part of this move, the Office of Extended Studies has joined the CPDC in Pratt Hall.
