Research Appreciation Week Events Include New Innovation Summit, “Ky the Chemist” Presentation, Artificial Intelligence Summit, STEM Women’s Summit With Alumnae Panelists, Scholars Forum

ϳԹ will celebrate innovation, student and faculty research, and creative work during IUP’s 2024 Research Appreciation Week, planned for April 8–12. STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

A $171,961 grant from the federal Department of Health and Human Services to ϳԹ is designed to help address the nation’s nursing shortage by providing financial support to students who commit to serving as nurse educators.

Funding of $1.5 million through the Build Back Better Regional Challenge Grant has been allocated for an entrepreneurial makerspace ecosystem that will include ϳԹ (Indiana County), an IUP-led STEAMSHOP robotics and electronics satellite site in Armstrong County and Made in Johnstown in Cambria County.
