Health Insurance
Although health insurance is not required for your visit at the Health Service, the Affordable Care Act requires everyone to have health insurance.
The Health Service does not have any contracts for direct payment with any health insurance companies for clinic or ancillary services, and it does not direct bill any insurance companies. We regret any inconvenience this policy may cause for students and parents.
Therefore, you are responsible for paying all bills you incur for clinic visits, medications, and certain procedures. These charges are billed to your IUP student account and are payable at the Student Billing Office or through your EasyPay account. We are able to provide you with a billing statement that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
If you are not currently covered by a health insurance plan, resources are listed below for your convenience. Look at plans, compare, and make a choice based on your needs.
